Golden Colorado Church Plant

As the Fall is getting into full swing, we realize that we are only a few months out from officially starting to gather as Golden City Church!  God is evidently at work, drawing people together in ways we can’t take credit for, and it is so fun to see how Jesus is already ahead of us on this journey of starting this new church!  I want to introduce our core leadership team and give some key updates and specific ways you can be praying with us!

Meet the Team

I (Matt Brown) have the privilege of leading this amazing partnership that God is pulling together. It’s a constant joy that I get to do this with my favorite ministry partner, best friend, and wife, Cheryl and our kids! But we also know we won’t get far without a team. God is beginning to build it! Let me introduce you to Matthew and Sara Lebofsky.

Matthew and Sara Lebofsky

This dynamic duo, along with their kiddos, have been involved in church planting, college ministry, and international missions.  They have a huge heart for the lost, making disciples, and are gifted in evangelism and hospitality.  Matthew will be our campus ministry director and is also an aspiring pastor/elder.  They are gearing up to welcome another child into the world, and are passionate to see a healthy church planted in Golden, and Lord willing to see more churches multiplied!

Some Key Dates Remaining for this Fall

Join us for one of our three remaining fall prayer and worship nights on September 20th, October 18th, and November 15th. You can check in with Skyline Church to get times, locations, and other details.

Financial Update

Our goal to raise $125,000 in start up costs along with $20,000 in monthly external support for the first 3 years.  The average church plant in the Denver area takes about 5 years to become self-sustaining, and we are prayerfully and proactively seeking God’s provision through partner churches and individuals who have a heart to see the gospel go forth and new disciples of Jesus made.  We hope to have these funds pledged by the end of this year!  Please pray and participate as the Lord leads you! More updates and church planting news coming soon.

Finally, we actually have a live website that serves as a basic landing point for information about the growing work. Check out GoldenCityChurch.com. We’ll be updating it to a more robust site as we move forward.
